Welcome
Greystone is located on a ten-acre, wooded site in north Raleigh. Our family-friendly facilities include picnic tables under the pines, a baseball/soccer field, and covered breezeways. This retreat-like setting offers a spot of beauty and refreshment where children, students, and adults can find many opportunities to learn and grow in the Christian faith. While there are many ministries and activities within our walls and premises, our mission is also to share the Christian message outside our walls. For this purpose, we partner with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and other groups whose vision for mission and ministry we share. We welcome your inquiries and visits both at this website and as we worship and serve together!
Peace and Grace,
M. Dennis Herman Senior Minister |

"Wanting to Help"
by Dennis Herman
We all want to be helpful, especially to those we love and want to see healthy, prosperous, and fulfilled. Consider these words from Parker Palmer in A Hidden Wholeness (p. 52): "Convinced that people lack inner guidance and wishing to help them, we feel obliged to tell others what we think they need to know and how we think they ought to live...but we can learn a more creative way to be present to each other." Parker then suggests giving space and trusting the inner teacher. Such trust takes practice. It takes faith that God will speak through all our desires to control the lives of those we love and that God's wisdom, the "inner teacher," will guide them.
